  • Is my windshield repairable, or does it need to be replaced?

Chips and cracks will be inspected, taking into account safety, the location of the damage, and whether the windshield crack repair will compromise the structural integrity of the glass. Things to note: 1. The damage is smaller than a quarter. 2. The crack hasn’t started to “spider” or spread. 3. There are no more than three chips.

  • What is glass recalibration and do you offer this service?

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as lane-keep assist and collision warning, rely in part on a camera mounted to the windshield. During a windshield replacement, it is crucial that the camera is properly calibrated and returned to its original factory settings. Otherwise, the ADAS systems will not function correctly. At Universal Auto Glass, we offer this service at an additional cost, which will be included in your quote. If you are going through insurance, this cost would be covered.
  • Do you offer a warranty?

I understand that this installation has a full warranty against the manufacturer’s defects or workmanship for as long as I own the vehicle. This warranty will be void if rust or corrosion is present during installation. I authorize UNIVERSAL AUTO GLASS, INC. to provide the above-referenced goods and services, and to install glass and related parts. I authorize my insurance company to pay Universal Auto Glass for the above-referenced goods and services.
  • Do you offer weekend services?

Universal Auto Glass is open on Saturdays by appointment only.
